Busy Weekend
I think this is the best family weekend we've ever had. Your daddy had a rare weekend off, so we got to spend a lot of time doing family things.
Saturday your school had a carnival-type event where you went on your first "hay ride" (if you consider a trip on a trailer pulled by a John Deere lawn mower around a drainage ditch a hay ride), ate junk food and spent about an hour jumping in the huge bouncy house.
Sunday we skipped your nap because your friend, Leo, was having his third birthday party at Zilker Park. The big attraction was a ride on the Zilker Zephyr, a little train that goes all around the park, under a bridge and through a tunnel. We told you about the party and train ride several days in advance, so you were really looking forward to it. We practiced singing "Happy Birthday Leo" for days, but you still didn't sing along. You seemed a bit confused about the pinata activity, and you watched patiently for a few minutes before becoming bored and asking for cake. You never eat the cake, only the icing.
The entire weekend was so much fun! You and your brother were very well behaved, and you're still talking about how you took a ride on a train through a tunnel and under a bridge.
