14m

At about 13.5 months you finally decided to start walking! Hallelujah! About a week ago we were all counting your steps (sister would even start counting when you walked, which was beyond cute). Now we just walk around you. Your walking journey was different than sister’s, which really surprised me. Sister took her first steps and was walking everywhere. You took your first steps and decided to try out this walking business for a few weeks before making it your primary mode of transportation.

I’m also really excited that you’re starting to speak words. You may have been speaking to us for months, but sister tends to speak for you so we haven’t really noticed. Sorry about that. Now that you have our attention, we’ve noticed that you say:
Daddy – “da”
Georgia – “ga”
Peek-a-boo – “peek-a-boo”
And today I heard you cry “mamamamamamamamamama” over the monitor after you woke from your nap. Be still my heart, you said “mama!”

You love to play, especially with cars and sister and your buddy Dominic from next door. You and Dominic like to wrestle, which is appropriate since Dominic’s daddy is a wrestling coach. Today after nap you would not leave your sister alone, much to her dismay. Daddy and I are sure this is the first of many many many things you will do to annoy her (not to mention pay her back for all the licks she gave you up to this point).

I’ve noticed recently that you’re a really good listener. You understand what “no” means and obey. Imagine that….
