Borrowing A Page From The McTriplet Handbook
Last night after we put you to bed you were more vocal than usual, so I went in to see what the deal was. I found you standing stark nekked from the waist down in your crib. You have been practicing dressing and undressing a lot lately, including taking off your diapers. Apparently you decided to do a little practicing in your crib.
When I walked in your room, you just looked at me with your beautiful blue eyes, pointed at the floor and said "bah poh" (diaper). I summoned your daddy upstairs because I knew it was something he had to see. It was really tough not to laugh at your antics.
Your daddy picked you up out of your crib and prepared a new diaper. Realizing that you would probably just tear this diaper off, too, he suggested taping your diaper on, a trick we learned from your Godparents. Their boys, affectionately referred to as the "McTriplets" because their last name is McBurney and they are triplets, went through a similar phase. To keep their diapers on, their mommy and daddy used packing tape over the velcro.
It's a little tough cutting the diapers off, but quite effective. Currently we're just taping you up overnight. Hopefully we won't have to do the same during waking hours.

Heeheee - so it's NOT just boys! Isaac still has to wear zippered pj's backwards (zipped up the back) because he strips at night. We couldn't use that *instead* of the tape though... even if they couldn't get their clothes off - they would pull the diaper tabs off THROUGH their clothes... so while the diaper wasn't technically "off".... a dirty diaper in the feet of the pajamas and pee everywhere - not all *that* effective. :)
Maybe she's ready to potty train!
